I got my acoustic guitar back from the shop
after having them do a custom setup for me.
I thought it sounded and felt great
before the custom setup.
But now I’m even that much more blown away.
So very thrilled with how it sounds and feels.
This week has been full of just jamming on
the new addition to the studio.
She has a name which everyone voted on
but I will be revealing it in a live stream
with Sarah where we’ll play a couple songs.
This week I’ve been working on recording
an acoustic version of “Thanks But No Thanks”.
Setting up a couple mics on the guitar
has me even more pleased with how it sounds.
It definitely lives up to all the good things
that I’ve heard about this brand.
Fun fact, my hometown hero Jim Adkins
from Jimmy Eat World
plays one of these guitars (Cole Clark guitars).
He’s the one that got me
looking into them years ago.
This week we also invested in some live speakers
to start performing acoustic shows with.
In the next few years I hope to be traveling
to an area near you for a show!
Stay tuned for that! :)
Revisiting “Thanks But No Thanks” has
been a real treat.
I especially love this acoustic version
because it exposes more of the intricacies
of the vocals that are kind of covered up
by all the distorted electric guitars
in the regular version.
Anyway, if you’re reading this you probably
already know that the audio download for this
acoustic version is exclusively downloadable
by paying subscribers to FUTURE SPERE
(aka FUTURE SPHERIANS).
But just in case you’re falling upon this later
you can get that download HERE.
With my new acoustic guitar in hand
I’m ready to continue recording the new album!
Which I’m thinking of including this acoustic
Thanks But No Thanks on the deluxe edition
copy of the album.
Anyway, that’s all I have for this week!
Thank you as always for supporting this musical cause!
