LIGHT ENTERS

Just as Taraheem is about to expel the last drop of life energy from your being, you close your eyes. The music you just heard fueled your purpose and gave you strength to now embrace the heaviness.

As you do so, a beautiful white light cuts through the Shadow and consumes you as if a door is being opened, allowing your escape.

You open your eyes and find yourself laying flat on your back in the middle of the floor of a long corridor. You sit up to look behind you, and you’re not sure why, but you notice someone who oddly looks identical to… YOU?

This seemingly other version of you appears to be the reason you just escaped the Shadow! They must have just opened the Shadow Path door! As a result, you got pulled out of the Shadow and now they’re getting pulled in!

You jump up in attempt to rescue them from the same shadowy fate you just experienced.

With one hand they’re barely clinging on to the knob of the Shadow Path door which has swung open inward toward the Shadow with no floor beneath them.

You grab hold of the wall next to the door and reach in to grab their other hand. Your fingers barely touch theirs but can’t quite grab hold.

They reach for their pocket and pull out something that looks like it’s made of pure crystal.

Whatever it is, it’s just barely long enough for you to grab onto in attempt to pull them back through the door with you.

As you attempt to do this though, the crystal item slips through their hand and propels you backward almost as if the Shadow is rejecting it.

You fly back inside the corridor with the item still in your hand as the Shadow devours this identical person.

The door slams behind them.

You instantly forget everything you just experienced in the Shadow as if your mind was wiped clean.

You look down at your hands and notice that the item of pure crystal is... a KEY?

You don’t remember receiving it just before the Shadow Path door closed, but there is a beautiful familiar energy about it that feels as if it’s pulling you over to the other side of the corridor.

You begin to hear a dark voice whisper in your mind, "I don’t want to go through that other door. I don’t belong there. I’m not worthy. They hate me on that other side. I want to go back to the Shadow!”

You no longer remember the Shadow after the memory wipe. You are confused where this voice is coming from. You wonder if it’s the key that is whispering to you.

At the far end of the long hallway you notice a bright, glowing cosmic door of beautiful Light. The key starts pulling you towards it, so it must want you to choose that door, the door to the Light.

The dark whisper returns and gets louder, “No! I will not go in there!”

You are truly conflicted. The key is gently pulling you towards the Light Path door, but the voice in your head gets more terrifying the closer you get to the door.

At this point, you trust the key more than the frightening voice in your head which feels like your own, but by now you’re on your hands and knees clawing your way to what you hope is refuge from this dreadfully painful voice.

Once you’re in front of the Light door, you feel a gentle breeze inviting you to enter.

What do you do next?
